Oman, the oldest independent state in the Arab world, has a population of 6 million people and known for its rich history and stunning scenery.

Oman is expected to become our first market of entry in the Middle East, upon closing of the acquisition of Omantel's passive tower infrastructure portfolio of 2,890 sites.

Among Helios Towers’ markets, Oman has the highest mobile penetration rate and is the most advanced on the technology transition curve with half the mobile connections already on 4G. As the demand for 4G/5G services grow, in addition to a third entrant (Vodafone) coming into the market, it is expected that the PoS will grow as high as 7%⁽⁴⁾ per year in the next few years.
