Our markets are some of the fastest growing in the world, driven by huge population growth and low mobile penetration.

Around 1.2 billion people across Africa and the Middle East do not use, or are not covered by, mobile broadband – more than the entire combined population of Europe and North America. By 2050, the population in Africa and the Middle East is projected to increase by approximately 70% to 2.9 billion, far exceeding the 9% growth forecast across the rest of the world.

These drivers, together with strong GDP growth, a young and urbanising population and further smartphone adoption is expected to drive an estimated requirement of more than 32,000 points of service (‘PoS’) over the next five years in our nine markets. Each represents a potential new tenancy for our business and this organic growth opportunity exceeds the size of our portfolio today.

As the leading independent tower company in seven of our nine markets, and with a relentless focus on delivering the highest levels of operational excellence, we are well placed to provide best-in-class solutions to our blue-chip MNO customers, which in turn supports the proliferation of high-quality mobile services across Africa and the Middle East.
